Data with purpose
The NOVA Information Management School (NOVA IMS) was founded in 1989 and is currently recognized in Europe as a reference institution in data science. NOVA IMS has about 3.000 students enrolled in 10 awarding degree programs, four of them ranked in the world's top 4 of the Best Masters Ranking 2022 by Eduniversal. Our research is structured around four research streams (Geoinformatics, Data Science, Information Systems, and Marketing) with a team of 80 senior and junior professors and researchers, some appearing in the 2022 top 2% and top 1% Scientists List provided by Stanford University. In the pursuit of excellence and interdisciplinary, NOVA IMS already has extensive experience in research projects, with over 40 national and international ongoing projects, 19 of them funded by the European Commission.

Our contribution
to the Digital4Business consortium
NOVA IMS is the school of Data Science of the Nova University of Lisbon. NOVA IMS provides education at the highest level to more than 3.000 students including undergraduates, postgraduates, masters and PhD degree students. Within our participation in the Digital4Business Project, we play an active role in the creation of collaborative programs and modules. Our focus lies in incorporating active learning methodologies and integrating teaching best practices for a more effective learning experience.
Our mission
Data with Purpose: Leading the way in Advanced Digital Skills for Sustainable European Business Growth through Digital4Business's Masters.
We focus on developing the implementation of an innovative European program that aligns with the market needs, having scientific research as backbone and academic innovation as driver. The program and modules built should combine excellence in teaching and learning and be supported by current research, allowing for strengthening partnerships with society and companies.
