Digital4Business is pleased to welcome Estonian Business School as an associate partner of the consortium, further strengthening the programme’s connection to entrepreneurial education, venture building and Europe’s fast-evolving digital business landscape.
Based in Tallinn, Estonian Business School brings a distinctive perspective to Digital4Business. Alongside its work in teaching and research, EBS has developed a strong focus on entrepreneurship and venture building, supporting innovation not only through education, but also through direct and indirect measures that connect students, researchers, founders and the wider startup ecosystem.
This expertise aligns closely with the ambitions of Digital4Business, which aims to equip learners with advanced digital, business and leadership skills to navigate technological transformation. As artificial intelligence, data, cloud technologies and cybersecurity continue to reshape organisations, the programme places strong emphasis on employability, innovation and the practical application of digital technologies in real business contexts.

Recognised entrepreneurial performance in Europe
EBS’ entrepreneurial strength was recently highlighted in the Redstone University Startup Index 2026, produced by Redstone VC, the Technical University of Munich, the University of Trier and AlpMomentum.
The index, which assessed 1,050 higher education institutions across the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland based on startup creation efficiency relative to institutional budget, ranked EBS as the leading business school in Europe.
The report also features EBS as a dedicated case study, underlining the importance of institutional culture and ecosystem proximity in driving entrepreneurial outcomes. As the report states:
“EBS demonstrates that entrepreneurial output is not a product of size or research budget, but of ecosystem proximity and institutional culture. Located in the country with the most unicorns per capita in the world, EBS turns Estonia’s startup density into a structural advantage for its students.”
This finding aligns closely with EBS’ strategic objective of positioning itself as a leading Northern European entrepreneurial university ecosystem.
Connecting digital transformation, entrepreneurship and real-world impact
EBS is currently involved in numerous international research, innovation and entrepreneurship development projects, including initiatives focused on AI, sustainability, deep-tech commercialisation and startup scaling.
For Digital4Business, EBS’ involvement as an associate partner adds further depth to the consortium’s connection with entrepreneurial practice and startup-driven innovation. Estonia is widely recognised for its advanced digital society and dynamic startup environment, making EBS a valuable addition to a European partnership focused on preparing professionals for the future of digital business.

“Digital transformation requires people who can combine technological understanding with entrepreneurial thinking. We see strong alignment between the goals of Digital4Business and EBS’s mission to develop future business leaders and innovators.”
Professor Meelis Kitsing, Rector of Estonian Business School
This perspective strongly complements the Digital4Business mission. The Joint Professional Master’s Degree in Advanced Digital Technologies for Business brings together leading European universities, industry partners and skills organisations to provide learners with a practical, future-facing education.
The programme supports professionals to understand digital technologies not as isolated technical subjects, but as strategic tools for innovation, transformation and sustainable business growth.
Strengthening the Digital4Business ecosystem
The addition of Estonian Business School as an associate partner reflects the continued growth of the Digital4Business ecosystem and its commitment to building strong connections between higher education, industry and innovation.
By bringing in EBS’ experience in venture building, entrepreneurial education and startup ecosystem engagement, Digital4Business further strengthens its ability to support learners who want to lead digital transformation, build new ventures, or bring entrepreneurial thinking into established organisations.
As Europe continues to invest in advanced digital skills, partnerships such as this play an important role in ensuring that education remains closely connected to the needs of the labour market, the innovation economy and the wider digital transition.
Digital4Business looks forward to working closely with Estonian Business School to further connect entrepreneurial education with Europe’s digital transformation agenda.
