Horacio González-Vélez to Deliver Keynote Address at WCC 2023

Professor Horacio González-Vélez,  coordinator of the Digital4Business project and Founding Head of The Cloud Competency Centre at NCI, has been chosen as a keynote speaker for the prestigious Workshop on Cloud Computing (WCC 2023), hosted by the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).  WCC 2023  is an international forum for both researchers and industry practitioners to exchange the fundamental advances in the state of the art and practice of cloud computing, identify emerging research topics and define the future of cloud computing.

In the ever-evolving domain of cloud computing and high-performance applications,  Professor Horacio González-Vélez’s presentation will explore the pivotal intersection of HPC (High-Performance Computing) and cloud technology and place a particular spotlight on significant challenges like Power Consumption, Speed, Energy Efficiency in Data Transfer, Resilience to Faults, and Managing Billion-Way Parallelism.

In addition to delivering the keynote speech, Professor González-Vélez will also participate in various panel discussions and sessions during WCC 2023, providing attendees with opportunities to engage with him and gain valuable insights into the latest trends and challenges in the world of computing.
